True “Royalty”

If King James had a car, what would he drive?
Would it be a Porsche, Mercedes or even a
Bentley? No! I am pretty sure he’d choose
something that is more traditional to Royalty
ways.  His choice would come in black. It
would be powerful, seductive and a level
above his rivals. His chariot of choice would
be a Jetta VR6. He would fortify it to a point
that has never been seen before. The engine
bay has some conservative but noticeable
mods that contribute to its "COMPLETE
PACKAGE" concept. Paint has been applied
to the engine bay to include the motor cover,
air intake, Audi S3 engine cover and other
accent pieces by Armin Engelhart of
Autolackiererei Engelhart. Fahrzeugtechnik
Loll gave life to the VR by adding a
lightweight flywheel, lightweight pulleys and
262` Cams. The chariot was then sent to
Oliver Racing for custom chip tuning of
Limburg to enhance the ECU performance
which works in conjunction with the
Techtonics Header, Techtonics High flow Cat
and Bastuck exhaust. An Audi TT short shifter
has been installed on the transmission to
shorten the throw time during hard
accelerations.

A 30 gig video IPod has been called upon to
provide the audio and video entertainment for
this chariot. It provides video for an Alpine 7
inch double din TV and one 10 inch LCD
screen mounted in the trunk. The audio
portion is supplied by an Alpine  IVA-W505
DVD player. An Alpine PXA-H701 sound
processor has been installed to provide "Time
Correction" and Dolby 5.1. Focal KRX3
components fill the interior of the car with
crisp sounds. The front staging has been
mounted in A-pillars while the rear has been
custom installed in the C-pillar. Amplification
has been provided by some of the finest
electronics. Sinfoni 90.2 controls the sound
quality for the front Focal KRX3 system and
three Alpine PDX 2.150's send signals to 3
focal sets to ensure every pin drop is heard.
In the deeper sounding section, a Ground
Zero GZPA 2.3000d provides the juice for two
JL Audio 12W7's.

The BettaJetta suspension was purchased
from "Bullock Style Tuning" of Limburg,
Germany. Bullock Style is well known
throughout Germany and all neighboring
countries for his outstanding air ride kits.
This kit has Front, Back and Side to Side
action with fast valves incorporated. An H&R
23mm stabilizer and an Audi S3 tower strut
brace have been installed in the front to
ensure the car can achieve the lowest stance
possible and to help control the body roll
under hard cornering. Each fender has been
extended by 1.5 inches for clearance and
protection, by Loll Tuning and Auto Haus
Rossel in Wiesbaden Germany.

The rear bench has exchanged for something
much better. Two additional front seats from
the "New" Beetle have been installed. Prior to
the installation of the new seats, and the
original front seat were removed and all were
taken to "Sattlerei Duester" for a little
Mercedes touch. The seats were
reupholstered with smooth black and coarse
gray Mercedes leather. All members of this
Royal family have their own personal throne
to relax in. Each door has been covered in
gray leather and the coinciding name has
been stitched in with fine detail.

The team summoned Hipnotic to supply a
wheel for the chariot. Team BettaJetta was the
first to import the Hipnotic 1C Black to
Europe. The wheels stand 20 inches tall and
cover an 8.5 inch area of ground but have an
Audi bolt pattern. 17mm spacers convert the
Audi wheels to fit the VW bolt pattern with an
offset of 35. A complete R32 set of stoppers
were swapped onto this chariot. Hankook has
been called upon once to provide their finest
rubber application. Hankook V12 evo tires in
the size of 235/30/20 were the chosen ones.
During the 2011 Treffen season, the BettaJetta
team does not have a goal to win all trophies
but to captivate and allure the audience.
