Vehicle: 1982 Pontiac Firebird

KITT was a cybernetic processor and originally installed in a
mainframe computer by the by the United States Government,
but a TOP crime fighting agency saw better use for it and then
installed him in the 1982 Pontiac Firebird.

KITT originated from his predecessor KARR(Knight Automated
Roving Robot). KARR was deactivated and stored but eventually
thieves stole KARR and reactivated him. This led to the battle of
the two which included Michael Knight (David Hasselhoff) K.I.T.T
vs K.A.R.R. in the original episode "Trust Doesn't Rust".
Eventually KARR was destroyed and KITT Lived on. Knight Rider
eventually made a spin-off show using a newer version of KITT
named (Knight Industries Three Thousand) as a 2008-2009 Ford
Shelby GT500KR.

The voice of KITT was William Daniels.
